Untamed: Warm and Cool tones
Untamed show Next Gallery May 30th - June 15th 2025
As an artist I explore so many themes that when coming up with my show idea I struggled for months until I decided to display a verity of themes all in the same style and color tones. Warm and cool tones are at the heart of who I am as an artist right now
When it came to choosing a theme for this show, I struggled.
I create such a wide range of work that I didn’t want to throw together a mismatched collection just for the sake of filling walls. For months, I struggled to find the thread that tie my work together—until I realized that much of my work shares a common energy: it’s untrained, untamed, and wild-spirited. What unites these pieces isn’t subject matter but feeling—expressive, vivid color and bold contrasts between deep light and dark tones.
“UNTAMED: Light and Dark Tones” is a collection of paintings that push the boundaries of contrast—where warmth meets cold, light clashes with shadow, and emotion takes center stage. Each piece carries a dynamic energy, with vivid warm tones burning against deep, cool hues. The work explores themes of both emotion and the untamed spirit that runs through this collection.”
Neon Duality : Hero’s Become Villains, Alter Egos Exposed, Nemeses Revealed.
Neon Duality explores the inner battle between who we are and who we fear we might become. Each painting embodies iconic oppositions—hero and villain, alter ego and nemesis, light and shadow—contained within a single figure. Created using a combination of traditional acrylics and fluorescent paint, the works reveal dual images through shifts in lighting. Under black light, one glowing identity emerges; with the sweep of a simple beam of light, another version is unmasked. This transformation exposes the fragile line between opposing selves, where heroes become villains and hidden identities are revealed.
I hung flash lights next these curtained off space. People were directed to go in and look around then use flashlight to reveal the change. It was a lot of fun hearing the reactions from the other side of the curtains when people turned on their flash light. Going into the curtains way a bit intimidating but often when people left they came back with more people to show. Hands down my favorite show I’ve done. Take a tour yourself in this quick video.
